SAM EAGLE

Songwriter / Artist

Sam Eagle is a songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from the coast of Essex. Citing influences such as Nick Hakim, Portico Quartet, Sufjan Stevens, Radiohead, Kendrick Lamar and Thundercat, Sam has worked on creating a sound that brings jazzy, left field pop tunes to the indie genre.

Following the release of ‘Something Out Of Nothing’, Sam was recently announced as BBC Introducing Essex’s Artist Of the Year 2020. Released in November 2020, the EP featured recent singles ‘Big King’, ‘Like This’, ‘Funkenheim’ and ‘Think Twice’ which have also seen Sam earn plaudits from the likes of BBC Radio 1, 1Xtra, 6 Music, Radio X, CLASH, Mahogany, Berlin in Stereo and NPR.

At the beginning of 2021, Sam released his much-anticipated new EP 'She’s So Nice', as well as new single ‘How Often’. The new EP follows closely on the heels ‘Something Out Of Nothing’, and forms the second half of a two-EP vinyl release which was due out in March 2021 via Cooking Vinyl.
